ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2006 Dear Colleagues, I wish  on behalf of the executive committee of OBBA UK to thank all members and their guests who helped to make our centenary ball such a great success. We have received very positive reviews from many sources inside and outside the Sierra Leone community. It was simply put the best in terms of atmosphere, quality of service, food and music from the DJ and the live band. The Super combo dance band exceeded all expectations and they were not only excellent to listen to and watch but they also kept guests glued to the dance floor after the dinner. We shall be having our annual general meeting on Saturday the 30th of September 2006 the Holy Trinity Church hall, Philip Lane, Tottenham, London N15 from 15:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs. Prompt. At this AGM there will be a financial report and officers will be elected to continue the work done by OBBA UK. We usually have our annual reunion night during Easter but since this is centenary year, most members went to Bo in Sierra Leone to celebrate the centenary.  Due to popular demand from members, we shall also be having this year’s reunion night on the same Saturday day at the same venue from 9pm till 1am. OBBA members and their partners will pay £5 per couple and non OBBA members will pay £5 per head. We shall take this opportunity to make a farewell send off for one of our members in the person of H E Alhaji Sulaiman Tejan-Jalloh who is leaving the UK as Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the United States. As is already the case for some members, we expect all members pay their monthly membership subscriptions by setting up a standing order from their bank accounts which only takes a few minutes or quick phone call to their banks.
